Who's this dumbass?
Salutations, I'm CrunchyMarsh. I'm above drinking age and old enough to love and hate Excel with a passion. Also unironically European.
I write not just out of passion but also in stubborn hopes that I can in some way make a living off of all this. Although I have roots in writing generic science fiction, I have kept THUNDER!ZERO! as my "main project" over the past decade because I just loved the ideas I had for it. Despite many attempts to finally set myself straight and focus working on this project, I have often failed. Too much school work, too much college, too much university or just too much work or life in general getting in the way.
But now, I've reached a high point in life where I deem my collected skills over the years are enough to bring my works to the internet. Fingers crossed that my motivation keeps me working just hard enough to keep this train going before the next hiatus kicks in again.

Why does this exist at all?
I am creating this website now after realizing that I didn't have a type of "centralized archive" for all of my works within the THUNDER!ZERO! setting. Any time someone asks for links to the setting, I end up having to send me a bunch of lore documents and the whatnot which not only seemed highly inefficient, but probably a large reason why my community growth is stagnant.
But of course, why? Why any of this insane ramblings put into words at all? Simply put, beyond the fact that my psyche has been torturing me endlessly to put my ideas of a (what then was) fictional warfare on a "grounded" basis to paper. Only after a while did I develop a taste for my own madness that I was envisioning and decided to continue it upon my own volition.
I have been inspired by other various grimdark/grimdank and science fiction horror works such as the STALKER games, the SCP setting, Warhammer 30-/40k, Battletech and so much more that I occasionally draw philosophical or conceptual inspirations from. Although I do have to admit that there are no better references to take than from real life and simply extending the line of thought for several decades longer.
I have also decided to sprinkle in some things that I found to be highly interesting yet on a philosophical basis relevant enough to earn their place in the website (And overall setting). The first image that I drew on the Introduction page contains a statue which is directly inspired by the First World War Royal Artillery Memorial on Hyde Park Corner in England.
The motions and the future
The website will go hand in hand with the development of the setting. All new stories, lore updates and the likes will be directly added onto the website to continue building up the archive. So keeping in tune with the diarium (blog) will be useful to see what new bits and pieces have been added every once in a while.
Of course, you'll also see how much of a busy or procrastinating bean i've lately been if there aren't that many updates. I can only work on so much at any given time and I only desire to deliver the best I can provide. But if push comes to shove and the contents of this website and the published stories aren't enough, visiting the discord server is always a good place to bend my ear, ask about how things are going or just getting into discussions.
To recap what this website and the setting is about to me.
This is a setting where the documented and the characters seemingly live in two different worlds, yet both are equally important and deserve their spot in the light.
